There was a time when “all-inclusive” was an epithet for tepid buffets, neon cocktails and characterless decor. But in frugal 2023 the best place to be is a hotel with bottomless food and drink. There’s no fretting over possible pool-bar inflation or exchange rates at dinner; with the bill already fixed, you can do what you’re meant to do on holiday — relax.
Value is only part of the appeal, however. All-inclusive resorts are cooler…
