The railway line between Abu Dhabi and Dubai was joined up in March.
This link between the two emirates stretches for 256 kilometres and includes 29 bridges, 60 crossings and 137 drainage channels.
However, the Abu Dhabi to Dubai segment is only part of Etihad Rail’s network, which will run for 1,200 kilometres across the UAE, from the border of Saudi Arabia to Fujairah.
